The authors of a new book about the Fayetteville square will host a book signing next month.
Anthony J. Wappel and J.B. Hogan will be on hand to sign copies of their recently published book, The Square Book: An Illustrated History of The Fayetteville Square, 1828-2016 during First Thursday on Thursday, Aug. 3 at Bank of Fayetteville.
The book contains a history of Fayetteville’s historic square and surrounding streets dating back to the early 1800s, chronicling some of its important events, its residents, and the various businesses that set up shop there over there years. Wappel and Hogan have also collected 375 historical photos of the square to help illustrate the book.
Books will be available to purchase at the event, and refreshments will be provided.
The book signing will take place from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Bank of Fayetteville is located at 1 S. Block Avenue on the square.
