Beer-Ology fest / Courtesy

There’s a beer, food, and mixology festival happening at Nomad’s Music Lounge on Saturday and Sunday this weekend. It’s called Beer-Ology. In addition to the food and drink, there will be music by Foggy Bobcat and The Jackson Jennings 5. Tickets range from $13-24. Here’s a bit more info.

The KUAF Summer Jazz series continues this weekend with a performance by Lisa Henry and Claudia Burson Quartet at Sunrise Stage on College Avenue.

It’s the last Saturday of the month, and that means it’s time for Last Saturday variety show at the American Legion. This month’s show features performances by Aisle 24, Jimmy Garrett, TerraNova, and Good Ghost Bill.

Comedy-wise, there’s a show at DIY venue Backspace featuring Roughhouse Comedy collective comedians Kaia Hodo, Colin Nelson, and Jeremy Munro.

George’s is celebrating Jerry Garcia’s birthday with performances by Forgotten Space & Friends of the Phamily. Tickets are $12, available at George’s ticketing site.
