Friday nights start with a good happy hour, and George’s Majestic Lounge has been providing those for years. This weekend, local super group Brave Soul will kick off the evening at 6 p.m. After that, local southern rockers Honeyjack will perform at around 7:30 p.m. Honeyjack just released an album, titled 8 Track earlier this year.

Later on, local rock band The Good Fear (featuring Flyer co-founders Todd Gill and myself) will reunite for their first show in a long time at George’s with excellent folk rock band, Lost John. It’s also Lost John singer Eric Witthans’s birthday, so there’s another reason to celebrate. Admission’s $5.

How about an insult comedy battle? There’s one of those over at Stage 18 with the second ever NWA Roast Battle League, hosted by Houston Hughes. Eight local comedians will battle it out to see who’s the best at roasting some fools. Admission to the show is $7.

Also this weekend, there’s a carnival over in Tontitown. The annual Grape Festival is happening through Saturday. Here’s more info.

Saturday’s start on the square at the Fayetteville Farmers’ Market. Everyone knows that.

Later on, there’s a big show at the Walmart AMP with Lady Antebellum. Special guests include Kelsea Ballerini and Brett Young. Here’s ticket info.

There’s a cool show at Smoke & Barrel Saturday night with Austin-based mellow blues band, Hardcore Sex. Check out a couple of their tracks here.
