Fayetteville Roots Festival luncheon to benefit Feed Communities

Fayetteville Roots Festival is looking delicious this year.

In addition to the mouth-watering lineup of music scheduled on the festival’s various stages, there are some pretty impressive food-related events on the docket as well.

A particularly intriguing-sounding one is kicking off the festival on Thursday, Aug. 24, when television personality P. Allen Smith hosts a lunch event at Pratt Place Barn benefitting Feed Communities.

The luncheon will include a meal prepared by chef Matt Bell of South on Main in Little Rock and chef Anne Carrol of Farmers’ Table.

Also at the event, Smith will lead a conversation about the local food movement.

Tickets are $50, and proceeds benefit Feed Communities, a local organization that combats food insecurity in the region.
