The Lib Horn Animal Shelter in Fayetteville will offer $10 adoptions on Saturday, Aug. 19 as part of the nationwide Clear the Shelters initiative that seeks to help families find and adopt homeless pets.

The shelter, located at 1640 S. Armstrong Ave., will open at 10 a.m., and all pets will be available on a first come, first served basis. Shelter staff recommends that adopters arrive early, and are encouraging people to fill out their adoption applications in advance so the staff has time to get the application approved before the event. The shelter will close at 4 p.m.

All available dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens will be spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, prior to going to their new home.

Applications are available at the shelter or on the city’s website at www.fayetteville-ar.gov/petadoption.
