Drivers in downtown Fayetteville should expect temporary lane closures on Church Avenue while crews work to upgrade a water line this month.
The project is scheduled to require closure of the northbound lane of Church between Spring and Dickson streets at varying times between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. beginning Wednesday, Aug. 16. The work is expected to last through Monday, Aug. 28.
Officials said flaggers will be on site to direct vehicles, and steel plates will be used to cover trenches during evenings and weekends until the work is completed.
