Registration is now open for the Fayetteville Parks and Recreation department’s upcoming indoor co-ed volleyball program.

Anyone age 16 and older can register for a team. All matches are 6 vs. 6, with male and female players staggered throughout a team’s rotation.

Competitive play games will be held on Tuesday, while recreational play is on Thursday. Matches will be held at either 6:15 p.m., 7 p.m., 7:45 p.m., or 8:30 p.m. at the Yvonne Richardson Community Center, 240 E. Rock Street. Official game balls and referees will be provided. Teams also have access to seven open-court practices on Wednesdays and Saturdays during the season.

Teams will play 14 matches during the regular season, which are won best two out of three sets. Play begins Tuesday, Oct. 17 and Thursday, Oct. 19. The season ends with a single-elimination, post-season tournament. Tournament champions receive awards such as trophies or commemorative glasses.

Registration is available through Oct. 8 at fayetteville.onlinesignup.org. The cost is $275 per team. Anyone interested in participating without a team can register as a free agent.

Players seeking a competitive league should register for Tuesday’s “Game On League,” and those seeking a more laid back volleyball league should register for Thursday’s “Chill Out League.”
