Friday, Sept. 1

It’s Washington County Fair week, and that means it’s time for carnival rides, caramel apples, funnel cakes, throwing darts at balloons, and walking through barns full of farm animals at the fairgrounds. You can get unlimited rides this weekend with a $20 armband.

Also this weekend, TheatreSquared will continue performing their version of the Tony Award-winning musical, Fun Home, at Nadine Baum Studios this weekend. We’ve heard good things. Here’s ticket info.

Music-wise, Tulsa musician Jesse Aycock is back in town for a show at Smoke & Barrel, and locals Goose will perform at George’s.

You’d better soak up all the beautiful fall farmers’ market you can get these next several weeks on the Fayetteville Square. You’re gonna miss it this winter.

Local singer/songwriter Willi Carlisle is back in town to perform his one-man folk opera “There Ain’t No More” at Stage 18 Saturday night. He and director Joseph Fletcher just got back from taking the show on the road over the summer to some favorable reviews.

Music-wise, there’s a big show at George’s with Jimmy Herring and the Invisible Whip, and excellent locals Youth Pastor will perform at Smoke & Barrel.
