Ready or not, here they come.

The 18th annual Bikes, Blues & BBQ motorcycle rally is set to roll into Fayetteville on Wednesday (Sept. 20), and run through the weekend at various locations around the region.

The motorcycle rally includes live music at several stages around town, including the main stage on Dickson Street and a satellite stage at the Washington County Fairgrounds.

Headliners this year include rockabilly piano man and BBB regular, Jason D. Williams, local 80s tribute Hot Lix, excellent local bluegrass outfit, Arkansauce, and others.

Other highlights of the rally include the battle of the bikes competition, which kicks off with registration at 7 a.m. on Saturday on the Dickson Street main stage, followed by several classes of competition from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The annual Parade of Power bike parade is set for 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23. The parade starts at the fairgrounds, and makes its way down College Avenue to Dickson Street.

Food-wise, the People’s Choice BBQ competition, featuring some of the best BBQ cooks in the nation, is set for 6 p.m. on Friday night at the Washington County Fairgrounds. You can get a plate of the competitors’ creations for $10, and help choose this year’s people’s choice champion.

There are also always plenty of vendor booths set up with turkey legs, funnel cakes, meats on sticks, and other street carnival fare if you get hungry at the event.

There are poker runs, demo rides, stunt riding exhibits, lawnmower pulls, a car show, a karaoke competition, vintage bike show, a Miss BBB pageant, and a million other things scheduled during the four-day event.
