Want to drink some local brews, listen to music, and visit some of the emerging local businesses located in the downtown area and hear what they’re all about? Maybe you should check out the Startup Crawl happening in downtown Fayetteville Friday night. Here’s a lot more info.

Also Friday night, some local folks will give short talks about all kinds of interesting subjects at Modus Studio’s Pecha Kucha event at their office on Church Street. Here’s more info.

Music-wise, Randy Rogers band is back in town for a nearly sold out show at George’s (it will probably sell out between now and the start time tonight.)

Also in tunes, Kansas City rockers Chris Mech & The Guilty Birds will perform at Smoke & Barrel Tavern.

There’s a lot more below. Click around down there for details.

Sunday, Oct. 1

Band of Horses

How about a beer festival? The Arkansas Brewers Guild will host an Oktoberfest event on the Fayetteville Square on Sunday from 1-7 p.m. Here’s all you need to know about that.

That afternoon at Kingfish, there’s a Mr. Oktoberfest pageant benefiting Hope Cancer Resources. It’s usually hilarious.

The art crawl we mentioned earlier this week is also happening Sunday at Uptown Apartments.

Remember that Dog Party on the Patio event we told y’all about earlier this week? That’s also happening on Sunday at Powerhouse Seafood.

Sunday night, Seattle indie act Band of Horses are in town for a sold out show at George’s Majestic Lounge.
