There’s a chance you could run into a couple movie starts in Fayetteville this week.

Actors Mira Sorvino and Sarah Dumont are expected to appear in town for the premier of 6 Below: Miracle on the Mountain taking place at AMC Fiesta Square in Fayetteville on Wednesday, Oct. 11.

The event is in association with the Bentonville Film Festival, which recently announced plans to host some additional events as part of their “year-round season.”

The film, which was screened early as part of last year’s film fest, tells the life story of former olympic hockey player Eric LeMarque (played by Josh Hartnett), and his struggle for survival after being stranded atop a mountain for eight days during a snowstorm.

Sorvino has starred in a host of films, including Woody Allen’s Mighty Aphrodite, which she won an Oscar for in 1996. Dumont is best known for her roles in Don Jon, Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse and Playing It Cool.

In addition to Sorvino and Dumont, the film’s director Scott Waugh and LeMarque, are also expected to be in town for the event.

The starts will walk the red carpet at the event beginning at around 6:15 p.m., and an invitation-only screening is set for 7 p.m.

Bentonville Film Fest just announced plans to return for a fourth year May 1-6, 2018.
