Fayetteville police are asking for the public’s help in locating the person who shot a local woman’s cat in the face.

Department officials said the cat and its owner live near Juneway Terrace, and that the cat was shot sometime between Oct. 10-13.

Police said the cat is alive and being treated for its wounds, but at this time there are no leads on who is responsible. The owner said the cat is currently blind in both eyes, but there’s hope that his right eye could eventually regain some sight.
