City crews this week are scheduled to start work on a sidewalk improvement project on the north side of Mount Comfort Road between Berkleigh Drive and Montana Avenue.
The work includes a new sidewalk, stormwater drain pipes, and new curbs and gutters.
The project is expected to begin Wednesday, Nov. 1 and last about six weeks.
Typical work hours will be from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Rain or extreme weather could delay or extend the estimated work time.
The work will occasionally require restricting traffic on Mount Comfort Road to one lane, according to city officials. Flaggers will be in place to direct traffic, but motorists should expect traffic delays and may want to consider an alternate route.
