Lights of the Ozarks begin this weekend. The annual lighting ceremony and parade is Friday night on the Fayetteville square. The fun starts at 6 p.m. Here are all the details.

The Razorback men’s basketball team is off to a hot start this year, and they’ll be back in action at Bud Walton Arena Friday night, taking on Fresno State. This year’s team is super fun to watch. Tipoff is at 7 p.m.

Music-wise, there’s a good show at Stage 18 Friday night with Abram Shook, Lost John, and Ralph White, and Texas red dirt artist Stoney LaRue is back in town for a show at George’s.

The last outdoor Fayetteville Farmers Market of the year is Saturday on the Fayetteville square.

After that, the Razorback football team will take on Mississippi State at Razorback Stadium. Come on Hogs. You can do it.

There’s a hip hop food drive at local DIY venue, Backspace. It’s called Rap for Food, and will feature performances by I Am, Voodoo Child, Dana Magelic, Cozmix the Rapture and Thunderman. Admission is a can of food, and proceeds benefit 7 Hills, Bread Of Life, and Salvation Army.

A new comedy quiz show will make its debut at Stage 18 Saturday night. It’s called Dunced, and features Troy Gittings,and local celebrities, Katy Henriksen, Colin Nelson, and Branden Lee testing your smarts. Tickets are $5 at the door.

There’s a fun-sounding event at the Fayetteville Town Center on Saturday night. Friends of India will celebrate Diwali from 5-8:30 p.m. The event will feature cultural performaces, food and more as part of the as festival of lights. Admission is $3 for students, and $5 for non-students. Here’s a bit more info.
