The artist behind the Sun Boxes and Sound Swings installations that have attracted attention in Fayetteville has a new exhibit coming up in town.
Mixed-media artist Craig Colorusso will debut a new shot titled GLOW FLOAT DRONE on the grounds of Uptown Apartments Dec. 14-17 in Fayetteville.
The show is a celebration of the debut of the permanent Sound Swings installation on the grounds, and will feature other works by Colorusso as well. His CUBEMUSIC, a set of large aluminum cubes, and his Sun Boxes, solored powered boxes that each play part of a musical composition, will also be on display during the event.
CUBEMUSIC will be located in the Uptown Lobby (open from noon until 7 p.m. during the exhibition), and Sun Boxes will be on display in the courtyard on Saturday, Dec. 16 from noon until 5 p.m.
An opening night party is planned on Thursday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m., and a yoga class to the sounds of cube music is planned at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16.
The exhibition is free to attend and open to the public. Uptown Apartments are located at 3959 N. Steel Boulevard, across from Malco Razorback Cinema.
