The new IMAX Theatre planned at Razorback Cinema in Fayetteville is ready for its close-up.
Memphis-based Malco Theatres this week announced that the new theater will be completed for the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14.

The new IMAX at Razorback, opening Thursday, December 14 at 7pm cst, will offer moviegoers a truly immersive cinematic experience, allowing them to enjoy the biggest blockbusters like never before. IMAX’s cutting-edge projection system, which delivers crystal-clear images, coupled with IMAX’s customized theatre geometry and powerful digital sound system, create a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie.
The new theatre features Malco’s dual-2K projection system, which uses two projectors for both 2D and 3D to increase brightness, contrast and sharpness
Tickets to the opening night showing of the film are already sold out. Tickets for future performances are available at the box office, and at malco.com.
