A portion of North Street will be completely impassable for approximately 33 hours this weekend while crews perform a railroad crossing reconstruction project.

The work will require closure to thru traffic from Garland to Gregg avenues from 7 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16 through 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17.

The project will also require closure to all traffic – including vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians – for 75 feet in each direction from the railroad tracks.

Note: Residences and businesses on either side of the railroad tracks will still be accessible from Gregg Avenue to the east and from Leverett Avenue to the west.

For more information about the project, contact John Cummings with the Arkansas and Missouri Railroad at 479-871-3471.
