It’s been a week, y’all. You’re gonna need a happy hour after all that.

As always, George’s is happy to oblige. Friday night’s happy hour show features local New Orleans-style second line band, Crescent City Combo, and local rockers, Honeyjack. After that, there’s a country show with Oklahoma’s Read Southall and Texas artist Koe Wetzel in the garden.

Smoke & Barrel has a hip hop show featuring local DJ EJ, presenting the sixth installment of his Wheels of Steel Hip Hop History, and local band Sad Daddy will perform at Mojo’s Pints & Pies.

There’s a holiday show to check out in town as well, as TheatreSquared continues their run of the holiday classic, It’s a Wonderful Life at Nadine Baum Studios. Here’s a schedule of this weekend’s performances.

How about a local art sale? Several local artists are coming together for a small works show beginning at 7 p.m. at LaLaLand Gallery on Saturday. Every piece will be for sale for just $10. Here’s more.

The Symphony is back in town this weekend. SoNA will perform their annual Christmas show, “A Very SoNA Christmas” at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Walton Arts Center. The show features “sacred and secular” holiday favorites, with the symphony performing alongside singers from SoNA Singers, Bentonville High School Chamber Choir, Har-Ber High School Camerata Singers and University of Arkansas Schola Cantorum.

The Shreve brothers are back. Both Randall Shreve and Benjamin Del Shreve will both perform with their bands on Saturday night at George’s. Tickets are $10, on sale here.

Also in talented-locals-getting-back-together-for-a-show news, supergroup The Flipoff Pirates will be together again at Smoke & Barrel Tavern on Saturday night.

There’s a lot more below. Click around down there for details.
