We already knew some famous people would be hanging out in Fayetteville soon during the filming of the upcoming third season of True Detective. Now we know who a few of those famous folks are gonna be.

In addition to Mahershala Ali, who had previously been announced as a star in the upcoming season, multiple sources are reporting that Carmen Ejogo (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) and Stephen Dorff (countless movies) are also attached to the project.

According to a Deadline article posted today, Dorff has been cast as Roland West, “an Arkansas State Investigator who, along with his partner, has his life and career influenced over three decades by a baffling crime.”

According to reports from back in November, Ejogo will play Amelia Reardon, an Arkansas schoolteacher with a connection to two missing children.

The show was created by Nic Pizzolatto in 2014, who received his MFA at the University of Arkansas. He is reportedly the sole writer of every episode of the upcoming third season except for episode four, which he co-wrote with David Milch (Deadwood). Green Room director Jeremy Saulnier is reportedly onboard to direct.

Pizzolatto will also serve as showrunner and executive producer for the season.

Production is set to begin in Fayetteville sometime in early 2018.
