A drainage improvement project will require closing a portion of Hummingbird Lane through the end of the month, officials said.
City transportation crews are scheduled to begin a series of improvements this week that include replacing drain pipes, curb and gutter, and driveway approaches on the west side of Hummingbird Lane.

The work will require closing Hummingbird Lane from Cardinal Drive to Overcrest Street from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. Officials said the work should begin Monday, Jan. 22 and last through Wednesday, Jan. 31. The street will be reopened to thru traffic at night. Detour routes will be marked.
