House of Songs to host Fayetteville event Feb. 12

Songwriters from all over the world will be performing in Fayetteville this month.

An organization called House of Songs is bringing together songwriters from the US, Germany, UK, and Canada for week-long camps to be held simultaneously in Fayetteville and in Austin, Texas this week.

Songs created at the camp will be debuted at the Folk Alliance International Conference Feb. 14-18 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Several songwriters will also perform together for an evening from 7-9 p.m. on Feb. 12 at Dickson Street Pub. Performances are also scheduled in Bentonville from 3-6 p.m. on Feb. 11 at The Record.

Songwriters scheduled to perform include Tim Easton (Nashville, TN), Ida Wenøe (Germany), Danni Nicholls (UK), Jaimee Harris (Austin, TX), Dylan Menzie (Canada), and Eric Michael Witthans & Meredith Kimbrough from Fayetteville band, Lost John.

Both the Fayetteville and the Bentonville shows are free to attend and open to the public.
