Wanna hear some sick burns? Your best bet for that would be at Stage 18, where local comedians will be competing in another installment of the NWA Roast Battle League.

There’s a cool-sounding event at Artist’s Laboratory Theatre on Friday night. The first ever Black Label Music Showcase starts at around 8 p.m., and will feature music, slam poetry and local painters. Admission is $10. Here’s a bit more info.

Local band Boom!Kinetic will be back in action at George’s, and Smoke & Barrel has a DJ night with m.bolez.

It’s the last Saturday of the month, and that means it’s time for a variety show at American Legion. This month’s show features performances by Justin Driggers, Terra Nova Kings, and Allen-Ames.

Walton Arts Center will be swinging on Saturday night. England-based swing band Pasadena Roof Orchestra will be at the venue for a performance, featuring lots of classic tunes from the 1920s and 30s. Here’s a bit more info.

Also in tunes, local songwriters Meredith Kimbrough, Ali Holder, and Jamie Lou Connolly will be at Stage 18, Mudhawk is at Smoke & Barrel, and Sublime tribute band Lou Dog will perform at George’s.

There’s a lot more below. Do something awesome.
