Y’all see all those daffodils popping out of the ground? Notice those days getting a little longer? Feel that warmer air enveloping your body like the soft first swaddling blanket that touched your infant skin, surrounded by the loving arms of your mother?

That means it’s almost time for the Fayetteville Farmers’ Market.

Market officials this week announced plans to return to the square with an Easter-weekend market set for Saturday, March 31.

The market will open at 7 a.m., and several Easter-related activities are planned, including an appearance by the old Easter Bunny himself and an egg hunt for the kids.

The market has been open during the winter at a new home at Ozark Natural Foods this year, and it will remain open there through the month of March.

After that, the market will be open on the square from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday, and from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.

For those who aren’t familiar, the Fayetteville Farmers’ Market includes around 60 vendors each year selling all kinds of locally-grown flowers, produce, meats, eggs, baked goods, plants, and arts and crafts.

In addition, there are typically musicians performing on each corner, community groups passing out brochures, politicians kissing babies, and tons of people circling the square in the warm spring air while browsing the locally-grown awesomeness.
