The Ozark Off-Road Cyclists will lead an invasive plant removal event on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at Lake Fayetteville.
Volunteers should meet at 4 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park, located at 4451 N. Vantage Drive in Fayetteville. The work will last about two hours. Tools, training, and hydration will be provided. Participants should wear sturdy shoes and bring a pair of gloves. Long sleeves are also recommended.

The work will focus on continued efforts to remove plants around the park and on the natural surface trail system to help clear sightlines of invasive species.
The event is held in partnership with the city’s Environmental Action Committee and the Arkansas chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council.
