Weekend Flyer: RENT, Brother Moses, The SteelDrivers, Protomartyr and more

Friday, March 2

Broadway hit RENT is celebrating their 20th anniversary with a tour this year, and that tour makes a stop at Walton Arts Center this weekend. Most of the tickets are sold out, but there is a lottery two and a half hours before every show for a chance to watch from the orchestra. Might be worth a shot.

Speaking of sold out, excellent Fayetteville band Brother Moses just released a new record, Magnolia, and they’re celebrating the release with a couple local shows before they head back on the road. One of them is at Path Skate Shop on Friday night. It’s already sold out as well, so hopefully you bought a $1 ticket while they lasted.

There’s an EDM show at George’s Friday night with Manic Focus, and there are still tickets available. There’s $15-$18, on sale here.

Want some metal? Head to Nomad’s for Vore, Center of Disease, Tel Anorath, and Had Enough.

There’s plenty more below. Click around down there for details.

Detroit rock band Protomartyr is in town for a show at Smoke & Barrel Tavern on Friday night. Check out their Tiny Desk Concert.
