Flying Burrito Co. closes Dickson Street location

It’s a sad day for burrito fans on Dickson Street.

Local restaurant Flying Burrito Co. today announced they have closed their flagship downtown location after more than 15 years.

The restaurant got its start on Spring Street, in the space currently home to Rolando’s, before moving up to Dickson Street in 2013 to be closer to the UA after a couple chain burrito restaurants moved in.

Flying Burrito last year opened a franchise location on the campus of the UA in the fall of 2016 which may have cannibalized some of their Dickson Street business.

The restaurant still operates their on campus location, as well as their location at 3200 N. College Ave. location in Fayetteville. They also have locations in Springdale and Bentonville.

Here’s the Facebook post announcing the closure:

We are so sad to have to post this on the door of Dickson St location today. Nearly 15 years down there and today it ends. Thanks so much for all the support and memories. Lucky for you fans and followers, we have several other locations nearby to get your LOCAL and homegrown favorite. See you soon!
