Fayetteville to begin sidewalk work on Columbus Boulevard

City crews are scheduled to begin a sidewalk replacement project on Columbus Boulevard this week.

The project includes replacing a section of deteriorated sidewalk along the northwest side of Columbus near Applebury Drive. The work will take place from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekdays starting on Monday, March 12, according to a news release. The project is estimated to be complete in three weeks.

Traffic will be restricted to one lane on Columbus Boulevard during work hours, however, residents will be allowed access. The street will be reopened to thru traffic on nights and weekends.
