Photos: 2018 Joe Martin Stage Race in Fayetteville

The 2018 Joe Martin Stage Race wrapped up Sunday afternoon after four days of racing in high winds that led to a 40-degree temperature drop and snow flurries to start the final stage on Sunday.

Rubén Companioni (Holowesko-Citadel) took the overall general classification win in the pro men’s race, and Katie Hall (United Healthcare) won the pro women’s event.

Two local riders placed in the Top 10 in the Elite 1/2 category with Andrew Evans (City Title Cycling Team) finishing second and Johnny Purvis (DNA Racing) finishing 7th overall. The category was won by Bryan Mutell (4D Racing) from North Carolina.

Final GC results from all 11 categories are posted at joemartinstagerace.com.
