Opera in the Ozarks will open its 2018 summer season on June 22, officials announced.

The lineup includes 22 fully staged and costumed opera productions, opera favorites sung in English, special outreach concerts for children and families, opera at the Crystal Bridges Garden Party, an exclusive opera dining event and more.

There are 19 performances scheduled at Opera in the Ozarks’ mountainside venue at Inspiration Point in Eureka Springs and three Sunday matinees at the Arts Center of the Ozarks in Springdale.

“We are especially excited this year to begin a partnership with the Arts Center of the Ozarks to present our Sunday matinees in their comfortable theater in downtown Springdale,” said Nancy Preis, general director of Opera in the Ozarks. “When we analyzed our matinee ticket sales, we realized that Springdale was a central location for our patrons.

“The combination of two comedies and a drama that has never before been presented in Northwest Arkansas makes our 2018 ticket packages a great buy.”

The season also includes special opera events and outreach productions taking place at a variety of venues across Northwest Arkansas, including Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Basin Park Hotel and The Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, and the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks in Fayetteville.

Single tickets to mainstage productions are $25-$30 for adults, and $10 for children and students with valid ID. Special discounted multi-ticket packages are also available. For performances at Inspiration Point, three-ticket packages are $70-$80. Arts Center of the Ozarks three-ticket packages are $60.

Tickets may be purchased online at opera.org or by calling the Opera in the Ozarks box office at 479-253-8595.
