Weekend Flyer: Foam Fest, UA Graduation, and more

Friday, May 11

Move Orchestra / Photo: LAYERS

It’s graduation weekend at the UA, which means (among other things) that the wait at most restaurants will be a little bit longer than normal this weekend. After that, though, it’s smooth sailing for a few months.

The final home baseball series of the season is this weekend (well, until postseason play, and things are looking good in that regard.) as the Hogs take on Texas A&M at Baum Stadium. It’s gonna be a beautiful weekend for baseball.

TheatreSquared’s new show The Hounds of the Baskervilles continues it’s run at Nadine Baum Studios.

For jokes, you could head to Nomad’s for their Southtown Comedy Show featuring comedian Dwayne Duke.

Music-wise, George’s has a 90s party band called Dial Up (tickets here), and Smoke & Barrel has a cool show with Move Orchestra, Serrano-Torres, and Tyler Tradewell.

There’s more below. Click around for details.

Foam Fest / Courtesy

It’s farmers’ market season, so everyone and their dog will be on the Fayetteville square Saturday morning.

There’s a huge beer festival on the square Saturday as well. The 7th annual Fayetteville Foam Fest will include more than 300 brews to sample from over 50 local, regional, and national breweries. The fun starts at 5 p.m. (or earlier for VIPs). Here’s more info.

The AMP is getting cranked up for the summer, and rockers Primus, Mastadon, and All Them Witches should help take things up to 11. Last we heard, there were still tickets available to the show.

Also in tunes, Ryan Pickop is back in town for a Nature & Madness show with Willi Carlisle and Kalyn Fay at Stage 18.

The annual Square to Square ride is also on Saturday. Here’s more info about that.

There’s plenty more below. Have an awesome weekend, everyone.
