UA to host Worldwide LEGO Robotics Contest

Teams from all over the world will descend on the UA this weekend to show off their robot making skills.

Students from Japan, Chile, India, and across the US will compete in the First LEGO League Razorback Invitation robotics competition May 18-19 at the UA Student Union Ballroom and Connections Lounge, located at 435 Garland Ave. on campus.

The competition is part of an international tournament called the First LEGO League, and the event is designed to “inspire young people to learn more about engineering and technology.

The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. in the morning, and then from 2-5 p.m. in the afternoon on both days.

It is free to attend, and open to the public.
