‘Greening of the Garden’ set for Friday at Botanical Garden of the Ozarks

The Botanical Garden of the Ozarks will celebrate the spring season with its 23rd Annual Greening of the Garden Gala on Friday, May 18 from 6-10 p.m. The gala, which was traditionally held on a Tuesday, has been moved to Friday to better accommodate guests.

Proceeds from the gala will support the garden’s programs and services educating children and adults about the beauty and science of the natural world. In 2017, the garden’s educational staff reached over 18,000 people through tours, programs and outreach.

Guests will enjoy live Jazz entertainment by the Perennial Jazz Quartet, live and silent auctions and garden-inspired dishes from Spring Street Grill.

The garden will divert most of the event waste from the landfill. Two waste stations will be set up to accept and sort all recyclable materials. Food Loops, a food waste solution company, will take all food waste and compostable materials and recycle it into fertilizer. Any leftover food will be donated to the Salvation Army.

Tickets are limited and may be purchased on the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks’ website, www.bgozarks.org or by calling 479-750-2620.
