Opera Fayetteville to perform ‘Opera in Bloom’ in its entirety at Botanical Garden of the Ozarks

Opera Fayetteville this week began unveiling its latest series of professional opera performances in Northwest Arkansas. The “Opera in Bloom” series includes eight short operas (each only 10 minutes or less) performed “pop-up style” over the course of two weeks at various venues.

The series will conclude when the entire program is performed at 7 p.m. Friday, May 25 at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks. Drinks and hors d’oeuvres are also planned.

From Opera Fayetteville:

These bite-sized, drama-packed operas are ideal for the seasoned and the first-time opera-goer alike. Continuing Opera Fayetteville’s commitment to fresh, accessible opera, the program includes bite-sized works by major American composers such as Missy Mazzoli, Tom Cipullo, and Beth Ratay.

Unique stickers will be passed out at each pop-up performance, each good for $4 off the final performance concert.

Tickets to the final concert can also be purchased online in advance for $25 or at the door the day of the show. Pop-up venues include Arsaga’s at the Depot, the Fayetteville Public Library, the Fayetteville Farmers’ Market, and 21c Museum Hotel in Bentonville.
