A sidewalk project will close a portion of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in south Fayetteville for a month.

City crews will begin construction of the missing section of sidewalk along the north side of MLK from South College Avenue to Washington Avenue on Monday, July 9. The project is expected to last four weeks.

Both lanes of MLK will be closed between College and Washington weekdays from 6:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The street will be reopened on nights and weekends.
