Are you familiar with the concept of a beertail? If not, you can get familiar by the end of this month.

That’s because the second annual Fayetteville Beerology Fest celebrating beertails (cocktails made with local and regional craft beers) is coming up July 28-29 in Fayetteville.

The event, hosted by Ozark Mixology Education, will take place with events scheduled at Nomad’s Music Lounge and at Axis Lounge in Fayetteville, and will feature beertails made by some talented local mixologists.

It will kick off with a ‘Pet a Pup and Drink a Pint” beertail sampling event at Nomad’s beginning at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 28. During the event, Fayetteville Animal Shelter will be on hand with adoptable dogs, and folks from 360 Vodka will conduct a beer-tail making introduction.

On Sunday, July 29, a BeerMosa brunch is planned at Nomad’s, featuring beer and brunch pairings. Later that evening, a Bartenders Ball is planned at Axis Lounge.

Participating breweries include Lost Forty, SweetWater, Apple Blossom, Bentonville Brewing Company, Blue Canoe, Boulevard, Lazy Magnolia Brewery, New Belgium, and Lagunitas.

Tickets are $12 in advance ($14 the week of the event), and come with a signature glass and samples all weekend. A $23 ticket is also available that comes with the sampling all weekend, plus a meal at meal at Nomad’s during the event.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Fayetteville Animal Shelter and Ozark Mixology Education.
