Business technology training will soon be easier and more effective for the Northwest Arkansas small business community. Denise Brooks, long-time technology trainer in Northwest Arkansas, recently launched her new, redesigned training program.

“We redesigned our entire schedule to make it more focused on the business owner’s needs.” Brooks said recently. The classes are geared to help update or enhance their skills, so they can earn more money or excel at work.”

Expanded topics for business owners
The classes are focused on topics current and future business owners need. The topics include everything from training on specific programs such as Microsoft Office training and QuickBooks to integrating social media with e-mail marketing. Some of the classes, including some webinars, are free. Others are available at an affordable rate for most small business budgets.

Schedule with more options
In addition to offering a bigger variety of course topics, the times are also more conducive towards currently employed individuals’ schedules. The workshops are shorter, and mostly after normal business hours.

More location options for classes.
Another change is that, instead of hosting most of her classes at her Fayetteville office, Brooks will be offering classes throughout Northwest Arkansas and even some online. This makes it easier for those who have limited traveling time, she said.
Brooks said that, while the training schedule tends to target those who are balancing a full-time job and perhaps a side business, the schedule should be advantageous to any local business person.

Bringing experience to technology training
Brooks has a long history of creating relatable and relevant technology training in Northwest Arkansas and beyond. She’s offered trainings in Fayetteville, Bentonville, Rogers, Springdale, Tahlequah, Okla., Tulsa, and Oklahoma City. Her most common topics have included WordPress, Instagram, Pinterest, and how to start an online business. She is a certified Microsoft professional and has also taught classes on various Microsoft programs for both small business and Northwest Arkansas Community College. She is also a Certified QuickBooks Point of Sale specialist.

Brooks is the owner and founder of Alexis Information Systems.
