2018 Washington County Fair runs Aug. 21-25 in Fayetteville

If you missed the carnival rides and cotton candy at the Tontitown Grape Festival, there’s another opportunity at the county fair.

The 2018 Washington County Fair midway is open from Tuesday, Aug. 21 through Saturday, Aug. 25 on the fairgrounds, located at 2536 N. McConnell Ave. in Fayetteville.

Gates open at 10 a.m., with carnival rides starting at 5 p.m. (noon on Saturday).

Cost for adults is $5. Children ages 6 and under get in free. Unlimited ride armbands are $25.

New this year is the All American Lumber Jack Show, which will take place twice each night

Daily specials

Tuesday: Entry is $2 and rides are $2 with a canned food donation at the gate
Wednesday: School and church students admitted free until 3 p.m.
Thursday: Ages 62 and older get in free from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and UA students get in free (with student ID) and can purchase an armband for $15 from 5 p.m. to close
Friday and Saturday: Armbands are $20 with a Pepsi can from 10 p.m. to close
