There’s a big comedy show at Stage 18 Friday night. It’s a Comedians NWA Presents show featuring New York comedian Dan Frigolette. Frigolette has appeared on the Bob and Tom Show, Wendy Williams Show and the Artie Lange Show. He was also in HBO’s Boardwalk Empire. Tickets are $5, available here.

Music-wise, local band Boom Kinetic is back in action at George’s Friday night, and there’s a rock show at Smoke & Barrel with Mudhawk.

Saturday in Fayetteville is pretty much all about dogs.

That’s the day the Fayetteville Animal Shelter is having their free adoption event we wrote about earlier this week.

It’s also the day of the annual Putt for Paws fundraiser at Gator Golf/Foghorn’s, a mini-golf tourney that has secured over $100,000 for the local Humane Society over the years. It all starts at 9 a.m. Here’s more info.

On top of all that, Grub’s Downtown is hosting another of their Pup Pool Party events to raise funds for Big Paws of the Ozarks. Details are here.

In non-dog related news, there’s an ice cream social at the Headquarter’s House. It’s $5 to attend, and proceeds benefit the Washington County Historical Society. We wrote about it earlier this week.
