Get ready for a doggy pool party.

The Fayetteville Parks and Recreation Department will allow dogs to swim at Wilson Park in the final hours before the pool closes for the season.

The event is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 3, which is Labor Day. During that time, only dogs will be allowed into the pool (humans can swim from 1-6 p.m.). After that, the pool will be closed until next year.

Admission is $10 per dog, and half of the money will go to Fayetteville Animal Services. Dogs must be socialized appropriately, have proof of current rabies vaccinations, and be spayed or neutered. A waiver must also be signed before entering the pool.

Participants can expect concessions, local food trucks, and giveaways from The Canine Connection.
