A portion of Spring Street will be closed this week while crews work to dismantle a tower crane at the TheatreSquared construction site in downtown Fayetteville.

The road is scheduled to be closed between West Avenue and School Avenue from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13 and Friday, Sept. 14, according to a permit request from Baldwin and Shell Construction.

Construction of the new 50,000-square-foot performing arts center began last summer, and is expected to be complete in time for TheatreSquared’s 2019 season.

Designed by Marvel Architects and Charcoalblue, the new venue will feature two performance stages, and will include rehearsal areas, costume and prop shops, dressing rooms, a green room, and administrative offices. Public common areas with educational and gathering spaces are also included in the plans.
