The first show of the Walmart AMP’s 2019 season was announced today.

AMP officials today announced that comedian and host of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show Trevor Noah will appear at the venue on Friday, June 21, 2019.

Noah, who was born in South Africa, and became one of the most well known comedians on the continent, is best known in the US as the-guy-who-took-over-for-John Stewart on The Daily Show. He joined the show as a contributor in 2014, before taking the reigns when Stewart left the show in 2015.

This year, The Daily Show was nominated for a Writers Guild Award, a GLAAD award, and two NAACP Image awards. Noah also won a Creat Arts Emmy Award for Outstanding Short Form Variety Series for his hosting role on the show.

In addition, he released his first book in 2016, the New York Times Bestseller, Born a Crime: Stories From a South African Childhood.

He also released his ninth comedy special, Afraid of the Dark on Netflix last year.

Tickets to the show range from $30-$99, and go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 19. To purchase, visit the Walton Arts Center Box Office, call 479-443-5600, or visit amptickets.com.
