One of the standout performers from Fayetteville Roots Festival 2012 (and 2014) is coming back to town this month.

Songwriter Darrell Scott, who has written songs for The Dixie Chicks, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Kathy Mattea, Garth Brooks, Patty Loveless, Martina McBride, and Brad Paisley, and has collaborated in the studio or on stage with the likes of Joan Baez, Steve Earle, Sam Bush and Robert Plant, will play a Fayetteville Roots Festival presents show on Saturday, Oct. 27 at the festival headquarters at the historic Guinsinger Music House on the Fayetteville Square.

The show is set for 7:30 p.m. that evening. In addition, Scott will also host a songwriting and creativity workshop from 12-2 p.m. that same day, also at the Fayetteville Roots Fest headquarters at the Guinsinger house.

Both events will serve as fundraisers for Fayetteville Roots Festival’s educational outreach and free community programming efforts.

Tickets to the songwriting workshop are $75.

Reserved seats at the show on Saturday night start at $40, and premium seats are $75. Some VIP tables are also available.
