New Clark Duke film ‘Arkansas’ stars Vince Vaughn, Liam Hemsworth and John Malkovich

A new film set in Arkansas, by Arkansas native Clark Duke, is currently in the works.

According to multiple reports, the film will also be titled Arkansas, and will star Duke, along with actors Vince Vaughn, Liam Hemsworth, and John Malkovich.

The film appears to be based on the John Brandon book of the same name.

Here’s the synopsis circulating on entertainment sites:

The film follows a pair of low level drug runners in the Dixie Mafia, Kyle and Swin (played by Hemsworth and Duke), who live by the orders of an Arkansas-based drug kingpin Frog (played by Vaughn), whom they’ve never met. But when a deal goes horribly wrong, deadly consequences are soon to rattle the duo’s routine lives.

The film is currently in production near Mobile, Alabama, where it is set to shoot for around five weeks.

Duke, who was born in Glenwood Arkansas, is the writer, director and will also act in the film. He is best known for his roles in films such as Kick Ass and Hot Tub Time Machine, and on television in shows like The Office, Two and a Half Men, Robot Chicken, I’m Dying Up Here, and others.

Hemsworth is best known for his role in the Hunger Games series of films opposite the film’s star, Jennifer Lawrence. Vince Vaughn has been in a ton of films, including Wedding Crashers, Old School, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, Hacksaw Ridge, Brawl in Cell Block 99, and many others.
