It’s homecoming weekend, and the annual parade will make it’s way up Dickson Street Friday night at 6 p.m.

Also in sports-related activities, you could get the first glimpse of Mike Anderson’s 2018-19 basketball team tonight at the annual Red-White Basketball game at Bud Walton Arena. It starts at 7 p.m. Admission is one can of food.

In music, George’s has a country show with Flatland Cavalry and Wynn Williams, Smoke & Barrel has Nashville act Birdtalker, and locals Mudhawk will perform at Kingfish.

There’s some good theatre in town as well. TheatreSquared’s new show Skeleton Crew is playing at Nadine Baum Studios through the weekend, and UA Theatre will perform a new show by Arkansas native playwright Qui Nguyen called She Kills Monsters.

Also this weekend, Willi Carlisle and Joseph Fletcher, the team behind the acclaimed one-man show, There Ain’t No More, will debut a new show this weekend. Carlisle will star in “A Confederate Widow in Hell,” which will debut at Stage 18 at 8 p.m. on Friday. Here’s a bit more info.

There’s plenty more below.

The Fayetteville Farmers’ Market on the square will be wrapping up pretty soon, so better get down there and enjoy it while you can.

Arkansas’ football team will take on Tulsa for Homecoming this year at Razorback Stadium. Everyone’s going to be chanting the name “Kelly Bryant” at some point during the game. Just go with it. The game starts at 11 a.m.

Music-wise, there’s a sold out show at George’s Saturday night with Rainbow Kitten Surprise.

Up in Bentonville, the Leon Bridges/Nathaniel Rateliff show we mentioned earlier this month is happening in the Buckeyball Field across from the Amazeum. It’s sold out, though, so hopefully you already reserved your tickets.

There’s lots of unique stuff on the list this week too, including a Burlesque benefit show at Nomad’s, a Halloween-themed roller derby match at Starlight Skatium, a slow roll bike ride at TriCycle Farms, and tons more. Click around down there for details.
