» Update: Final election results from Washington County are available here.

Early and partial Election Day voting results for the 2018 election were released in Washington County, and show a strong a lead for one City Council candidate in Fayetteville, with two likely runoffs coming later this month.

In the Fayetteville City Council Ward 1 race, Sonia Gutierrez has 41 percent of the votes, followed by Olivia Trimble with 39 percent, and Kris Paxton with 20 percent.

Mark Kinion leads in Ward 2 with 71 percent of the votes, followed by Raymond Burks with 17 percent, and Martin Bemberg with 11 percent.

In Ward 3, Sloan Scroggin leads with 52 percent of the votes, while Lucas Regnier has 48 percent.

Teresa Turk leads in Ward 4 with 45 percent of the votes, followed by John La Tour with 44 percent, and Adam Fire Cat with 11 percent.

It looks like wards 1 and 4 are headed for a runoff. According to state law, when there are three or more candidates, the two people with the most votes will square off in a runoff election unless the leading candidate receives more than 40 percent of the votes and is ahead of the runner-up by 20 percent.

These results include all early and absentee ballots, as well as 26 of the 46 voting centers from Election Day.

Additional partial results are listed below. Keep in mind that the state-wide and federal races listed below only include totals from Washington County, and don’t reflect the overall Arkansas totals.
