Goo Goo Dolls, Train to play the Walmart AMP in 2019

Who’s ready to party like it’s 1999? Train and the Goo Goo Dolls, probably. That’s who.

The bands, who originally hit it big in the 90s, will be performing at the Walmart AMP on June 26 of 2019, it was announced today.

Train is set to release a new Greatest Hits album this year, featuring some of their Billboard Hot 100 hits like “Hey, Soul Sister,” “Drops of Jupiter” and “Drive By.”

Goo Goo Dolls broke out with their 1995 release, A Boy Named Goo, and has several Top 40 hits of their own, such as “Iris,” “Slide”, “Black Balloon”, “Dizzy”, and others. The band has played the AMP a few times over the years.

American r&b singer Allen Stone will open the show.

The show marks the third announced for the 2019 season. Comedian Trevor Noah will perform at the venue on June 21, and Christian singer will perform on Wednesday, April 17.
