Grammy-winning bassist John Patitucci coming to Walton Arts Center

Grammy-winning bassist John Patitucci and his electric guitar quartet will perform at the Walton Arts Center on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets range from $30-$50 plus fees and can be purchased at the Walton Arts Center box office, by calling 479-443-5600 or by visiting waltonartscenter.org.
Patitucci has played as a studio musician on albums with B.B. King, Bonnie Raitt, Chick Corea, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Michael Brecker, George Benson, Dizzy Gillespie, Was Not Was, Dave Grusin, Natalie Cole, Bon Jovi, Sting, Queen Latifah and Carly Simon.
Patitucci won two Grammys for his solo recordings, one for playing and one for composing. He was a 10-year professor of Jazz Studies at The City College of New York, and is currently a visiting scholar at Berklee College of Music’s Global Jazz Institute.
His latest band incorporates funk and jazz, and includes two electric guitarists, a drummer and Patitucci on his signature electric bass.
