‘Tis the season for holiday-themed shows, and the local symphony is gearing up for their annual performances.

The Symphony of Northwest Arkansas (SoNA) will perform its annual Christmas Pops concert with two performances scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 15 at Walton Arts Center.

The show, titled “A Very SoNA Christmas,” will feature a selection of holiday classic songs celebrating the magic of the season performed by musicians from SoNA, along with choral singers from Bentonville High School Chamber Choir, UA Schola Cantorum, and jazz vocalist Genine LaTrice Perez.

“A Very SoNA Christmas is an extraordinary blend of traditional and pops programming that has quickly become a beloved Northwest Arkansas tradition,” said SoNA Music director and Maestro Paul Haas.

On Sunday, Dec. 16 at 3 p.m. SoNA will perform The Snowman: A Family Concert at Walton Arts Center. The symphony will provide a live orchestral soundtrack for the film, The Snowman, based on the Raymond Briggs classic children’s book of the same name, which celebrates its 40th anniversary in publication this year.

Tickets to A Very SoNA Christmas range from $32-$55, and tickets to The Snowman are $9. To purchase, visit the Walton Arts Center’s box office, call 479-443-5600, or visit waltonartscenter.org.
