Hootie’s getting the band back together, and they’re coming to NWA next summer.

90s pop band Hootie & the Blowfish this week announced a 2019 tour with Barenaked Ladies, and both bands will make a stop in Rogers for a show at the AMP on Sunday, July 14.

The band, which formed in South Carolina while members Darius Rucker, Mark Bryan, Dean Felber, and Jim “Soni” Sonefeld were in college, broke out with their 1994 album Cracked Rear View, which included the singles “Hold My Hand,” “Let Her Cry,” “Only Wanna Be with You,” and “Time.”

The band had been on hiatus in recent years, as front man Rucker pursued a solo career as a country artist, during which time he charted nine No 1. singles on country radio.

The band will also release a new record to coincide with the tour next year.

Barenaked Ladies has sold our 15 million albums themselves, with multiple top 20 hits such as “One Week” and “Pinch Me,” and have earned two Grammy nominations.

Tickets to the show range from $29-$129, and go on sale at 10 a.m. on Dec. 7. To purchase, visit the Walton Arts Center box office, call 479-443-5600, or visit amptickets.com.
