Fayetteville officials are asking for another round of public input on the vision for the 71B Corridor Plan.

City planners have scheduled two public meetings this week to discuss the southern portion of the plan, which focuses on South School Avenue from Archibald Yell Boulevard to Cato Springs Road.

Meetings are planned from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11 and Wednesday, Dec. 12 at the Arkansas Research and Technology Park, located at 700 W. Research Center Blvd.

From a news release:

During the week of December 10, planners are meeting with stakeholder groups and the public to explore transportation options from a “big picture” point of view. These include vehicle traffic, bus transit, bicyclists, and pedestrians. We want to hear your ideas for the corridor’s future. Stop by for 15 minutes or the entire session to share your ideas and help design 71B for the future.

Planners will return in 2019 for additional public meetings to look at the plan in detail, including how the roadway currently fits with surrounding neighborhoods and businesses, and how it should look in the future.
